"The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few."
In the many aspects of our lives, we have needs, most especially, the need for guidance and mentoring. It is very evident that the two topmost needs of most of us today are in our spiritual and financial situation. It was affected heavily by more than two years of pandemic. A lot of people suffer financially and are also drained spiritually as we were prevented by the situation to go to our churches physically.
In our family, my youngest daughter has been called to be a full-time missionary along with her husband in the Light of Jesus Community. I am very blessed to have her choose that path as there are many people specially among the youth of today that needs spiritual guidance. Just like in the time of Jesus, there are many people that need to hear the Good News of Salvation, but there are very few "Laborers". Today's Gospel challenges all of us to do more, and to encourage more people to do more mission works.
Prayer
Lord, I pray that more people will be called to this mission of re-evangelizing the youth of today. I pray that this pandemic ends so we can resume the more personal way of reaching out to people to bring them back to the church. In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.
